Your El Paso Scorpions had a tough season that started last August and ended in April. The first half of the season the Scorpions rolled with win after win which gave them a great start and showed a promising season. After winter break the Scorps came back with plenty of injuries and a tight roster. The 2nd half of the season didn't go as expected and ended with a few losses in what were tight games. With that being said the El Paso Scorpions were still able to clench a playoff birth going against a tough Tempe team. The Scorps played a tough game but Tempe proved to be the better team that day.

The Scorps had their 15's season ended that day but that doesn't mean that summer will be all cakes and tea. 7's Season has no begun and the first tournament of the summer is in Albuquerque, Nm called Celtic 7's. The Scorps are taking up a great squad with the support of 1st Degree Refrigeration sponsoring the tournament for us. It is this Saturday May 17th, 2014, so if you are in the area near Balloon Fiesta Park come out and watch a great day of rugby involving plenty of different teams and a fast level of play.

Two weeks after this tournament the 7's season will continue in El Paso with the 3rd installation of Sun City 7's. This city tournament will involve the Scorpions splitting into 2-3 teams, the UTEP Miners Rugby Club, hopefully Ft. Bliss, the North East rugby club and with a special invite to the Las Cruces Horny Toads. This tournament will be held at the Sunbowl every Thursday at 7pm sharp. So if you are in the area come watch your own El Pasoans get down and dirty.

As always, Feel The Sting!
